Hello Experts,Our production database is running on SQL Server 2000. Once there was a open transaction that was left open for few days and the DBAs didnt notice it. Because of this the tempdb grown to the maximum leaving no free space in the harddrive. This created a lot of issues and the application was down for 30 minutes. Is there any preventive method to monitor this kind of issues in the production environment without affecting the performance ? Also let me know what are the other factors we need to be carefully monitoring in the production environment. Thanks & Regards,SqlAbc |
