| All Sql DBA's .I need help.I am using NT 4.0 Workstaion.I used to work on 7.0.Now i was getting error and sqlserveragents was not connected somehow.So, i uninstall.Now I have sql server 2000 enterprise edition which iwant to install,I am just wordering if someone can help me step by step.One of my friend told me to delete registery...i also would like to have it doneThanks in advance and this junior prog girl will be appriciated.Kelly |

| HiEnterprise edition will only install on Advanced Server so that one is out. Maybe try uninstalling 7 and re-installing it.If you still get errors let us know what they are and someone will be able to help.Good luck!Damian |

| Hey Merkin, that is not true for SQL 2000. It was for 7.0 but 2000 EE will install on NT 4.0 Server.Post the errors you get, and we can help you. The installation is pretty straight forward, post any specific questions.HTH-Chad |

Just reread the original post, and saw WORKSTATION. The only thing you can install on Workstation is Personal Edition and Developer's edition, but I would stick with Personal Edition if I were you.What edition of 7.0 did you have on there? Std or EE wouldn't have installed, so it must have been the Desktop Edition.BTW, I wouldn't delete the registry, I'm not sure what you meant by that, but it doesn't sound good. |
