Hello All,

How would I identify if my database is using any encrypted column? Will database restore populate the same data in encrypted column upon database failure or do I have to do anything special with these columns while taking the backups?

Thanks in advance,

When your backup/restore database the data will be fine that is encrypted and stay encrypted. But you got to make sure to backup database master key also; you will need to do that in case you copy the database to another server or disaster recovery.

Thanks.
