Hi to all frnds.the problem is that i want to apply security on enterprise manager in sql server 2000..if i open enterprise manager in sql server2000 it should ask a user name and password to see my databases and to perform any task on database...plz help me regarding tht i'll be very thankful to all you....Iffi |

Hullo Iffi. The admin of your SQL server, whether it be yourself or someone else, needs to set up logins on the server, with Windows-Only or SQL authentication (the latter for simple "username and password" access), and then declare these logins on the individual databases on your server with the appropriate rights. No-one else should be allowed to connect. Hope this helps. |
