| Can somebody can tell me how physicaly mixed extends goes to uniform, and does extends are physicaly continued pages in memory??Something more about physical desing |

| The first 8 pages for a table are allocated from mixed extents. Once the table grows beyond 8 pages, all further space allocation is done through uniform extents. According to the definition in the BOL, extents always consist of contiguous pages. If you want to read about SQL Server internals in detail, I highly recommend a book by Kalen Delaney called "Inside SQL Server".
