There is a Fully functional Database which is set to Recovery FUll At the client end . and When there is any change in the Server end database ( Both the Client and Server end Databse are identical) ., i have to take the differential back up from Server and restore it in the client Database. So for this i Have to change the Client database from Recovery to Norecovery for restroring the Differential Back up . There is an option on the options tab of the restore, it states that the database will restore in NORECOVERY mode (i.e you can add other transaction logs to the database and it is not fully operational).

Otherwise if you are doing this via T-SQL, there is a NORECOVERY option, please look it up in BOL (Books Online).
