Hi All,

I am developing a project in VB with backend SQL Server2000 .
I want to create a Vista Desktop as SQL server 2000.Is this possible to make desktop machine as a SQL Server.

Please help.

Yes. You can use the Express Edition.

What is express edition?Is it downloadable from any site?

I have enterprise edition of sql server 2000 but not express edition.

I think the SQL Server 2000 edition is called MSDE.
You really should go with Express Edition, using SQL Server 2005 or even SQL Server 2008.
