Hi,We are developing a project with .NET framework and SQL Server 2005 technologies. For two years we were busy with developing our application. Structure of system was planned by our previous Project Manager and Architects, and they decide to use 2005 Replication for transporting data between our offices all over Turkey, before we started to developing windows application. We have 90 offices in Turkey which are in seperate cities. Our head office is in Turkey and our Replication Publisher is in head office. Our program is a windows application, each client uses its office server that containing Replication Subscriber. (Office servers has SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition). Totally 1000 client will be using our system with their office servers (totally 90 office servers.).But there is a thing, that has not been predicted by our designers: Some of our offices are too far from Istanbul (for example: Van, near the border of Iran), and their connection (which is ADSL 1MBit) is performing too poor performance. We wasn't expecting that. It seems, this is our big problem when we are so close to our kick off.Is there a way to speed-up this thing? Can we compress the data that transporting between publisher and subscriber? Or maybe some other option that you can offer.Best Regards,Harun Yigit LEGOZ |
