Author  Topic  Michae1 Starting Member 1 Post Posted - 2009-05-28 : 16:08:40 I have 2 Server 2003 (SP2) Servers running SQL 2k cluster. When i move the groups, it is taking around 5 minutes to complete, it appears that the name was delaying everything. Before i did the last test i checked the config and noticed that the Register this connection's addresses in DNS and Use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration check boxes were not cleared. Also net BIOS tick box was set to default and the enable LM hosts lookup was ticked. I have corrected all the settings, however it is still taking 5 mins to fail over to the other group. The system logs aren't showing anything obvious. I have not been able to reboot the servers yet due to it being a production system. Does anyone have any idea's why it could be taking so long?
