As per my understanding Builtin\Administrators are by default member of Sysadmin role. For my SQL 2000 DB which is in Mixed mode when I execute sp_helpsrvrolemember, the result does not show builtin\admins at all but when i execute "select * from sysxlogins" i have builtin\admin listed there. So my question is, does in this scenerio builtin\admins have any kind of login to my DB if so what role/privilege they can have?
Thanks in advance.

There isn't a BUILTIN\Administrators login inside SQL Server. The logins are at the OS/Windows level. Whoever is a member of the Local administrators group has the permissions that the BUILTIN\Administrators group does within SQL Server.
