Hi,

I am trying to replicate data from SQL Server 2005 to Oracle by running all agents at distributor (push subscription), added the non-sql subscriber. Destination subscriber is created. All I get when I view the synchronization status is this:

The process could not connect to Subscriber 'TEST_DB.WORLD'.

In the event log I get this:

Replication-Replication Distribution Subsystem: agent DMZCED02\TEST-One-OC-TEST_DB.WORLD-22 failed. The process could not connect to Subscriber 'TEST_DB.WORLD'.

As a side note, I was able to create a linked server to the same oracle database and it works just fine.

Any ideas as to what could be my problem.

Thanks,

d.g.

Answering my own question, apparently, having only instant client and the ODBC will allow to create a linked server but not work for replication. What I did was to install the Oracle10g Provider for OLE DB and this one magically fixed my problem
