I have a SP as a dataset for a report I am building. It gives the option for the team to be input, and a begin date and and end date. They are @Team, @BeginDate, and @EndDate. I am on the dataset window in Reporting Services and I am on the parameters tab. Do I put the name of the parameters in there in the left (Name) column? And what do I put for value? Leave it blank? The dates already have default values but I want the user to be able to input the values or the SP to use the defaults if they are blank.Duane |

so you're defaulting the params inside the sp right? what happens if you leave the Value (on the Parameter tab) as blank? |

I think I ended up doing that (it was yesterday) and it worked, but I got no prompt for user input. It just ran with the default parameters, which is OK for now, but I have to figure out how to do this for later reports, and actually quite soon.Duane |
