Msg 10054, Level 20, State 0, Line 0

A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)

The cause could be anything, but I tend to see this, over the years, when running Crystal Reports queries, which will be akin to a SQL query but seems to encourage more trouble. Always trouble for me - I go to a project and cause people's system to do what they cause 'crashes' and slowing or service and I get big complaints, once I'm there. I run SSME queries which give this above error immediately if Crystal is currently running against the server.

Can you tell me what this means?

Once it happens I can just run a query straight away and it's fine!
