quick question - is is possible, or how is it possible to schedule an SSRS report based on this scenario.I have a month end report. In certain months, the month end date is different. I.e - in September, the end of the month is Sept 29, 2009. In October, its October 30, 2009. So can i dynamically set up the schedule? How would I go about scheduling the report to run since I have different end dates for each month? Thanks |

In the past I have done 2 ways. Unfortunately I am at a different company so do not have access to actual code. The first is as you say to create 12 differnt schedules. The second is to have the dates to use in a table and have schedule to run every day. The SQL determined if "today" was month end and either returned or continued.John"The smoke monster is just the Others doing barbecue" |

Could be a stupid proposal :-)However, in case you plan to issue an automatic report which comes to users by email in the morning, you could have scheduled it to run on 00:00 (or at any later time, but before actual start of the working day) at the 1st day of each month.:) |

True, but the first day of each month is never the same in my scenario - one option was to set it up using the report server database, but unfortunately i dont have access to that. I went ahead and created 12 diff schedules for each month. that was the solution i used - thanks! |
