Can i use reporting services on a clustered systems. In other word my database is on one server and my sharepoint is on another and infact the share point is acting more like a web part. can anyone advise a better way to do this so i can use reporting services in my sharepoint

Yes RS can be used on a clustered system, however in an ideal world only the RS databases would be put on the database server and then the RS web portion (Report Manager, Report Server) would be put onto an application server.

thanks for that fast reply, and if i was realy cheap , could i reporting services express edition and use what ever main server the sharepoint is located on , cuase technically dont i just need to put the .rdl files on the server where sharepoint is?
