i get Error:" can not open backup device " when i try to create backup with sql express in windows directory location, but this backup successfuly created with normal sql server, now whatas different? |

You need to check the security permissions on the folder you are trying to backup to.Or you have to add the domain account for thatBut am not understand what is normal sql server-------------------------[R][A][J] |

"normal sql server" i mean sql server standard edition.with this edition i created backup with no error in windows folder and other location, but with express edition i'm can do this. someone help me??? |

Keep in mind that what you call "Normal SQL Server" may be running with different permissions to those granted to your SQL Express instance. So check the last has the proper permissions.On the other hand I recommend you to try SQL Backup and FTP, because you will be able to handle both SQL Express and your "normal server" in an easier way.unspammed |
