Help:

Is there any suggestion anyone can make to allow a non-sysadmin account the ability to write to the trace log (pererably via sp_trace_generateevent)?

I'm afraid of what the response is going to be (could not find anything via standard searches), but would be very greatful for any assistnace rendered. (I'm aware that this can be done in 2005 the more granular permissions).

(As for the why question: I am using a tool (Arcsight) that only reads the trace files for it's data. Im looking to log an event that is otherwise difficult to log via the tool.)
