Hi, I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.I've installed a trial version of SQL2008 on my home PC and can access Management Studio without any problems. When I try to access the ReportServer all I get is the top menu bar plus the error: rsAccessDenied.I know this is to do with the permissions but I cannot change the permission of Reporting Services through management studio as I dont have the rights in the first place. When I installed SQL2008, I selected the default for everything including the installation step for RS.Can anyone shed any light on how I can get this working?Edit to say - when I go to http://<servername>/reports/ it prompts me for a username and password and I assume that's the same one I use to access SSMS.Thanks,Mani |

Yes I am the local administrator on my machine. I've just recently installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 and wanted to get SQL on there as a priority. Im also within the SYSADMIN group in SQL. |
