We are running MS SQL Server 2000 Our Developers want to be able to View the Activity Monitor in Production. Is there harm in giving them GRANT VIEW SERVER STATE TO <<login name>> or is there another way to give them this access?? |

Apart from the fact that VIEW SERVER STATE is not a SQL 2000 permission? You may be able to grant them the processadmin server role, but you should read up on the permissions associated with this role, just to be sure you are comfortable with them. |
