Hi,

I need to configure SQL Serevr to accept TCP/IP connections, or at least figure out if it is accepting them or not.

BOL says that the default connection is by named pipes, which is nice to know, but it doesn't say where to go to set up anything else (or at least not as far as I can see).

Does anyone know where I have to go in Enterprise manager to setup/check this? Heck, can I even do it in EM?

Thanks

Teroman

Found the answer if anyones interested,

among the things in the start menu is Server Network Utility, just the job. Needs to be run on the actual machine as far as i can see though, which is a bit of a pain, I was hopeing for an undocumented proc to be the answer for remote administaration larks aplenty.

oh well
