I have created a setup disk using VB.NET programming and an Access backend database. I was wondering if you can do the same thing with SQL Server Compact Edition. Can you just replace the Access with SQL Server Compact or do you have to install SQL Server beforehand? |

Access, SQL Server Compact or SQL Server Express / Standard / Enterprise edition each are totally different product and of different class. If you are looking for something to replace Access as a backend database, you should go for normal SQL Server Edition like Express or Standard but not compact edition.
