Hi All,

I have question on which one would be the best methods for Loading into DW.

Method:1

Truncate the Entire Target Table and Load it from scratch???

Method:2

Going for Incremental Loads.

What are the Different factors we consider the best loading method???

Thanks,

it depends on how large table is and amount of other processes involved for table population like lookups etc. In case where data is large and growth is large you go for incremental loads while in case of small tables you go for truncate and repop. Also in cases where you want to store cumulative aggregate data latter method is best while for snapshot tables initial.
