Our MSDB system database is groing rapidly with a rate of 1 GB/day. I think that this is caused by the system table 'sysxmitqueue'. We had some kind of a problem before...

I know that I have to use sp_spaceused to determine the size of a table but this doesn't work when you want to determine the size of system table: 'Exec SP_SpaceUsed sysxmitqueue'.

Can somebody tell me how I do this?

Try
SP_SpaceUsed 'sys.sysxmitqueue'
