Hi,

Can we restore a SQL 2000 Standard Edition database backup onto SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition??

yes. You can.

You can do that for same version across edition.

Hi,

But as per my knowledge we cannot restore a Enterprise Backup on Standard Edition. Meanning, on Higher edition we can restore any lower edition backup but might not be true for vice-versa.

Pl coreect me if am wrong.

You are wrong. You can restore from Enterprise to Standard.

You are probably got it confused with Version.

As Tara said, for same version, you can restore from Enterprise to Standard.

For different version, you can restore earlier version to later. But not from later version to earlier.
