Hi All,
Can we have Descriptive values in fact table?
for eg; i want to analyze data based on remarks entered for any product.
Is this the right way?
What is the best practice?
please guide me.
TIA.

If you can make it into a measure then it shouldn't be a problem, but it would be better to have a surrogate key in the fact table and the description in a dimension, this way, you are keeping your fact as small as possible as well as keeping everything in line with a DW design.
