| Hii have SQL 2000 on Win 2003 R2in sql server service manager , i can see that the mssql serve is autorestart is true, and in the services the sql service is autorestartbut when i restart my server , it does not come up , it comes up when i start it manually , i did not find any error in the log, is that a bug? please adviseThanks |

Not real sure what you mean by this, is that a hard power-down by pushing the button on the physical server (most definitely not best-practice)? Go to manage server on the server. Click services and find MS SQL. Double-click that and see what you've got on each of the tabs. what i understand from your post is that though SQL Server is set to start automatically in windows, it is not doing so and you have to start it manually.Check the windows event log whether any issue is faced by windows in startup ?I am here to learn from Masters and help new bees in learning. |
