| I want to simulate merge replication on one machine. Does this require more than one instance of SQL Server 2008 or can I replicate to another database using the same instance?Regards |

| either will work, but a 2nd instance is a more valid test, and will mosre closely simulate what you'll be doing in productionalso, using a 2nd instance is reproducable for deploying to live environment |
