Hi,I have set of views pointing to other databases in the same server. Is it wise to have the same set of tables similiar to the one which is available in another server or good to have views instead? My thought on this is, better to have views as we can avoid redundancy and moreover, if you set up a same set of tables, then you have to create physical tables and populate them from the source tables as well, which waste of time. Please let me know your thought process on this. Thanks |

You also have another abstraction layer with SYNONYM available with SQL Server 2005.Perhaps they serve a better purpose for you? N 56°04'39.26"E 12°55'05.63" |
