DROP should give you an error message if the table cannot be dropped. perhaps whatever tool you are using is not showing you the error message? You cannot drop a table that has a Foreign Key relationship with a Child Table. And you cannot drop a table if you don't have permission . and maybe, just maybe, something else is detecting the the table has been dropped and silently recreating it. Or maybe you DROPped it in a Transaction, and the Transaction was then rolled back. But other than that I don't think there are reasons why your DROP would have failed. |
