dear sir

Now I want to Backup some self selected tables from a database and
restore them with another database database containing same db name.

is it possible?
i am using sql server 2000.

You can not use the same database name within the same SQL instance. You'd need to install another instance.

If you instead want to use a different database name, then simply create it and then move your objects and data over.
