| Hi All,I was doing the decommission of the server which is having local and named instance.I removed the program from Control panel there it didn't asked for perticular instance to remove.But still i am not able to delete the folder in the Program files it says the files is in Use Can u pls help me here ?Thanks,Gangadhar |

| Hi Gangadhar,Before uninstalling the sqlserver, - stop the antivirus on the box.- ensure no sql agent jobs/application jobs/backups (if configured using third party tools) - unregister any linked servers.Hope you find this useful. |
