Hello Everyone,

I needed to duplicate a copy of a database and used the import/export utility. After the two files were created i.e. *.ldb and * .mdb, I wanted to copy them to another location. But every time I attempted to create a copy, it stated that I needed to be the administrator in order to do so. But on my home pc, I am the only administrator.

How can I solve this problem in order to use my database export files?

Thx...Walt

Are you using SQL Server? SQL Server database files typically have an extension of ldf and mdf.

Hello,

I attempted to redirect where the export files are kept, but there's no way to redirect the output files. The default is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA and there's no way to change this.

Does anyone have any comments/suggestions on how to copy the exported files elsewhere, or to change the permissions on the files?

Help is much needed.....thx...Walter
