| Hi Am keep getting this error when am tryng to connect to the datatbase. Can anyone plz help me ....------------------------------Cannot connect to YOUR-F56EA3B113\SQLEXPRESS.------------------------------ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2) |

| Ok, can you ping YOUR-F56EA3B113 ?If so, can you go to SQL Server Configuration Manager on YOUR-F56EA3B113 to check the services are started and you have named pipes turned on and possibly an Alias set up to YOUR-F56EA3B113\SQLEXPRESS ? |

| Port is usually 1433, if this was a standard install that is what it will be, otherwise, you will need to ask the person who installed it. The server will be YOUR-F56EA3B113 or the IP Address of that machine. |
