| Looking for some advice on troubleshooting EM problems. Yesterday, made some adjustments to the client machine to try and get it to talk to Informix. Made some additions to the hosts and services file. Now, I'm having trouble connecting to SQL Server through EM and any other client tools. EM opens OK but when I click on the server to open it, it takes 1-2 minutes to list the options (databases, management, dts, etc). When it finally comes up and I try to view the databases, it just churns forever until I kill the app. I am able to connect via QA but very slowly. Once connected, queries that usually take fractions of a second now take over a minute to run.I didn't delete anything in the hosts or services file. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? |

| Never mind - I solved it. I had turned on ODBC tracing and forgot to turn it off. Once I turned it off, it's back to normal. |
