I tried my pc name (right click on My Computer and properties), "local", and pcname\SQLExpress. All returned "The server was not found or was not accessible", "Error 40-Could not open a connection to SQL Server". I used windows authentication. When I opened the Management Studio Express, there is no default instance. Can you please give me an example on \<instance name>? Thanks. |
