What a piece of garbage

Tried to create a package on the network and tells me the path is too long


I wish I didn't have to deal with Excel

Maybe I'll write a macro to export it then bcp the data in

WHY is this not in SSMS?

Use an Excel Source, OLEDB Destination. Nothing too tricky. How long is your network path?

I thought SSIS was for those that don't know SQL...

Do it from your workstation. Just need valid connections.

Here's a shot of the data flow task.


For a one time shot, I always save as delimited and import the csv. But if it needs to be automated and occur often...
