We use Sql server 2005 Enterprise with Sp3 platform.
but our database compatibility level is Sql Server 2000(80)

Now we plan to change Sql Server 2005(90).

what are the Database changes we do ?

You should run the sql server upgrade advisor which can be found in the installation package, or you can download it here:

and you should run update stats with full scan or reindex all indexes after you change the compatibility level..

Not sure why this is needed - you have any documentation to support this?

Changing compatibility level doesn't change the database structure, nor does it change the statistics or anything else. It just changes what functions/code are available.

I'm guessing Dinakar has insider information, since he works for MS. Please share the knowledge!
