| SQL Server 7.0 I need to shrink a log file that has gotten way too big - (its 1500 Meg with only 30 used). No matter what I try to do, it won't shrink. The entrerprise manager is lying to me when it says it has successfully shrunk it...Is there a workaround to this? I can't take the DB offline as its a live system. Thanks,Rob |

| Rather than me write out solutions i'd suggest that your best bet is to search this site for one. This question has come up so many times i'd almost guarantee you'll find a suitable answer.Might also be worth reading about service pack 4 which has recently been released for SQL7.Paul |
