We are in the process of cleaning up some of our SQL Servers by dropping DBs that have been inactive for a while; what is the best way to find out which DBs are currently active or when was the last time a DB was been accessed accessed and/or modified?

Thanks

We first run a trace for each suspected inactive database. We let the trace run for a few days. If no connections have been made to a database, then we take the database offline. We then wait a couple of weeks. If there were no complaints, then we do a final backup and then drop the database.
