Wonder if anyone could throw some light/opinions on some issues we are experiencing? We have an applcation that is web based, the web site sits on one server and the SQL 2005 Ent Database sits on the other. The Internet feed goes into a hub, this hub then connects a feed to both servers. We are experiencing a lot of "time outs" when users use the application, and whilst I think this might be a DB issue I was also wondering if it could be a hardware/network issue. Could the fact that ALL our traffic is going down one connection be causing this (we also replicate from our SQL server to another server down the same network connection) are "time outs" always caused by the SQL DB or can hardware configuration influence this?Any help or advice would be much appreciated.thanksPete |
