| I am trying to update a field in a db table, but one of the rows have a legitimate duplicate record. I don't want to update the duplicate record when I apply the update. How can I perform an update to only one of the records when both contain the same values in all fields.I am using SQL 8.00Should I use Enterprise Manager instead of Query Analyzer? |

| in your query's condition use not exist e.g. Where (conditions) and not exists(select ... group by a having count(*)=1) |
