Joe writes "I'm trying to install SQL 2000 client tools on a Windows 2000 Professional machine, the install goes through fine, but afterwards when you try and access any Servers through Enterprise Manager you get an Invalid Attribute\option Identifer error message and that you are unable to register the server.

I've tried reinstalling the Client tools but i keep on getting the same error message.

Any ideas?

What is the version of the server you are trying to connect to? Have you tried applying SP2 to the client tools?

Make sure your MDAC and supporting ODBC dlls are in sync.

Install the latest version of MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) from the following Web site to update all the core ODBC drivers:
http://www.microsoft.com/data/
