Hello everyone,I am converting the DTS packages to SSIS 2008 and found that in old DTS 2000 packages logging was being done on the SQl Server 2000 and also Error logging was being done on an external log file. Now I want to achieve both the logging options using SSIS 2008. I see that under SSIS<logging there are logging options and I think I can configure both type of loggings for the same package (on sql server and a log file). But when I run the packages i see the log file's format is different from the format which was generated in the DTS packages. Is it possible to acheive the same format of the external log file used in DTS packages in SSIS 2008? I was looking for same format of the external log files in SSIS 2008 as used in DTS packages. Also, when using logging to the SQL server, it is logging in the system table dbo.sysssislog. Is there any other table where it logs the information on the SQl server? Where can i find the tables sysdtspackagelog, sysdtssteplog, stsdtstasklog which were used for logging on to SQL Server in DTS packages? Thanks a lot for your replies. |
