I have a question regarding subscriptions in SSRS 2005.

We have development (reports_dev) and Production (reports_prod) environments .

I created a subscription in the Production environment for a report, and ticked the Include Link so that I can get the link of the Production environment reporting services of the report.

I am getting the email but in the email its showing the link of Development environment. (http://reports_dev/reportserver ................)

So my question is where can I find this information and how to change it to the correct Production environment link http://reports_prod/reportserver ..................

Any ideas?

Are reports_dev and reports_prod two different servers or just two different connection strings on the same server?

Hey, it compiles.

When you moved from Dev to Production, do you go through the SSRS interface to upload the report file, and then go into the properties to set the connection setting? Or do you have some sort of batch operation that copies rows from Dev to Production? Or do you backup the Dev database and mount it over the Production database?

What I am getting at is it sounds like the database that contains the report information is where the problem lies. If you are using the SSRS interface to upload the report to Production then this shouldn't be happening. But if you are copying data from the Dev database and inserting it into Production or if you are using a backup/restore of Dev to Prod, then any subscriptions created on Dev will continue to point to the Dev machine and not Production.

That said, there is a database that is created for SSRS that contains all the information about a report and subscriptions. Unfortunately I am at a new job and we don't use SSRS so I don't have the tables in front of me. A quick Google of SSRS table names would probably get you going in the right direction. From there it is a matter of finding out where subscriptions are stored and what column the link is held in. From there you should be able to update the row.

Hey, it compiles.
