I am attempting to setup a network SQL Analysis Server so that clients can access it. I am confused as to how to accomplish this task. I have installed Analysis Server on a W2K Server network server "VMFGSRVR". I have installed Analysis Client Components on a W2L Pro client. When I attempt to register the server I receive the following message: "Errors occurred while connecting to vmfgsrvr""Cannot open connection to Analysis Server vmfgsrvr""Cannot connect to the server 'vmfg'. The server is either not started or too busy""Do you still want to register the server?"Can anyone help me with instructions on how to set up the client and the server so that they communicate? Thank you. |

First things first - on the server itself can you connect using As Manager? Is the Analysis Server started ? |
