Hello, anyone knows a way to backup/copy the default trace log files (log_*.trc), I can't do it with my "backup service" user.

Why do you want to back it up?

Thanks for the reply, because an internal audit said me that I need to have a database audit record history to have evidence of all work doit on it.

I don't think you're going to want to backup the trc files to achieve the database audit history. You'd have to backup only the non-open files as the current default trace is in use.

What types of things need to auditted? If it's DML, then you'll need to implement DML audit triggers instead.

I'm on firt stage to control audit event over databases, to start the default trace audit seemed to fit my needs. Copy open files isnt the problem, the problem is that the files didn't inherits the directory permissions so my "backup service" user couldn't do the copy.
