Hello,

I have a question as to how permissions on a procedure work:

I have a procedure that I only want a particular group in my active directory to be able to run. I created a login with that group and mapped it to a user on my database. If I grant execute on that procedure to that database user, does it keep other people from running it? And if not, is there a way to do that, other than one by one denying execute to each other user?

Thanks

You won't need to deny permissions to it unless you've got users with db_owner privilege, although I'm not sure you can deny anything to dbo.
