1. Can we rename default and named instance of sql server 2005 (standalone)?
2. Is there any issue if we rename named instance of sql server?

You can rename a server, but you cannot rename an instance unless you reinstall SQL.

By the way, this is easily found via google. We are here to help, but we do suggest googling for basic stuff first.
