Hi there,

i am not sure whether i am posting this in the correct section but i am having some confusion. Basically i am given by my school an login id to login into the school database system to do our project.

And in the project requirement, i am supposed to create 3 users tables.
which is admin, seller and buyer.

and now the question is. i am supposed to give restrictions to all the 3 users which admin can remove the users and the rest of users only can view the data only.

I am not sure how am i supposed to do and test this.Thanks.

You'll need to set the permissions at a table level. Use the SQL Server Data Control Language (DCL) commands GRANT and REVOKE commands to define the access levels for the data.

but grant and revoke must specify a user login right? this is the problem because i am not able to create a user login because its been restricted. or should i say how am i supposed to test this?like seller can only view the date but not able to delete the tables. Thanks.

Have you contacted the administrator of the SQL server - to either elevate your permissions or give you access to another login which has the relevant rights.
