| In MS Accessthere is a datatype called OLE : which can store files, doc,jpg filesbut also it can open file directly with one click.and return it back with save/update directly on that opened file.the question is how to implement this feature in SQL Server/.NET (C#,VB.NET)Thank you |

| There is no equivalent feature in SQL Server, and I would think that that is by design. The target audience and business purpose of Access is not the same as that of SQL Server.You can certainly implement something similar if you need to, with a little bit of work. You would need to store the files in SQL server as blobs or filestream objects and then build a user interface and data access layer using C# or some similar technology. |

| I do that, but it is weak, because user does not want to switch between application and temp file which store the file like mm.doc.so it is complex for a user.I think there is a way like memory stream to retrieve a file and then restore back with a little bit of work.thank you for your replay. |
